Daniel Campos is located in the southwestern part of Bolivia, bordering Chile.
Salar de Uyuni is estimated to contain 10 billion tons of salt, of which less than 25,000 tons is extracted annually. From the salt flats lithium is extracted to be used in the making of batteries. Bolivia holds about 43% of the world’s lithium reserves.
